Cash Registers · Buying Advice
To help you make the right decision, we have provided some brief advice on things to consider when buying cash registers:
Positioning your cash registers.
Think carefully about where your cash registers will be positioned. If positioned in areas of high ambient light or sunlight, choose a cash register with an LCD display rather than an LED display, since this will be easier to read.
Consider your operators.
There is sometimes a tendancy to go for feature laden products. Bear in mind however, the more features your cash registers have, the more difficult they will be to use. If you use a lot of unskilled operators or your staff turnover is high, you may be better off with fewer features.
Consider second hand cash registers
The life of a good cash register can be as long as fifteen years, yet some retailers change their products every 3-5 years. If you are on a tight budget, why not consider one of our second hand cash registers.
Consider your customers buying patterns
If you run a small corner shop with a constant stream of customers buying small items your requirements will differ from a furniture shop selling the occassional high value item. For shops dealing with a large amount of customers consider cash registers that are quick and easy to use.
Consider the environment
If your cash registers are going to be used in areas that may get splashed make sure you purchase a wet cover. For bars you may want to think about a restuarant till.
